Horizontala

Horizontala is a project that involved the redesign of existing wine labels (bottles) of the Bikicki winery and is non-commercial in nature. Winery Bikicki follows a philosophy of respecting nature and making wine with minimal intervention. The method used by the team relies on knowledge and expertise, combined with the magic of nature from the slopes of Fruška Gora.

The design of the wine labels reflects a minimalist approach, in line with the principles of simplicity and "magic". The front of the label features three variations of the wine names (White, Red, Rose) in a typography design that becomes readable when the wine bottle is placed in a horizontal position. This creates an optical illusion that subtly suggests the magic of nature is revealed when we open our minds to explore the mysteries of our senses. At the same time, the horizontal position is one of the most typical ways of storing wine bottles.
